Product stack-up structure
â— Top Layer
Protective layer, usually consisting of glass, which can be up to 10mm thick or more.
â— Middle Layer
The middle layers is optically clear adhensive(SCA/LOCA)
â— Bottom Layer
One piece of sensor glass with two layers of ITO which are used to be X eletrode and Y electrode. PCAP creats an electric field on the ITO layers, when your finger touches the screen, it effects the capacitive coupling between these two ITO layers, and the controller then triangulates the location of your finger.

FPC is used to connect the sensor glass to controller board.
